Steve Hafner
Founder and CEO

Upon graduation from George Mason University in 1991, Steve
became involved in the non-profit industry. Working with Higher
Education Publications, Inc., he developed what would become
the definitive database on corporate matching gift policies,
GiftPlus. Steve founded HEP Development Services in 1996 to
provide data services to the non-profit industry. His philosophy
of providing accurate data with phenomenal customer support
has been the backbone of the firm's growth. Steve resides in
the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains with his wife, Hasina,
and three young children Dominic, Daniella and Zachary.

Alberto Pareja-Lecaros
Information Technology Liaison

Alberto joined HEP in March 2002 bringing
with him a broad knowledge of most
database applications. His impact was felt
immediately with improvements to GiftPlus
OnLine and data security. Alberto
previously worked at Sprint and
Disclosure.

Darian Jones
Senior Account Manager

Upon completion of his studies at Hampton
University, Darian founded BMAI, a
fulfillment and direct marketing corporation.
In a friendly merger, BMAI joined HEP in the
Fall of 2002. Darian's expertise in data
cleansing will help HEP clients improve the
quality of data. Darian lives in Miami, FL.

John Wright
Business Development Director

John has been in the non-profit field for over twenty years. He was one of two
founders of Invest/Net which tracked insider trading for the
Securities & Exchange Commission. Invest/Net developed an on-line service as well
as an insider matching service used by many non-profits. He developed the weekly
insider trading column both in the Wall Street Journal and in many of the local
newspapers you continue to see today. After Invest/Net was acquired by Thomson and
became CDA/Investment John continued to manage the non-profit group within Thomson
for a number of years. His wife Karen also worked at St.John’s College in Advancement
for over ten years. John has also had significant experience in finding HNW individuals
for the financial brokerage and banking firms over the years. He is a graduate of Hofstra University.

Marianna Funk
Dir. of Customer Service

With over twenty years of experience working for entrepreneurs in the
Northern Virginia area, Marianna is responsible for all aspects of
customer relations. Marianna and her husband, Craig, live in Virginia
and have two children, Steven and Katherine. Steven is a
graduate of JMU. Katherine is attending Stone Bridge High
School in Ashburn, VA.

| Mike Westfall
Annual Giving Consultant

Mike brings a great deal of Annual Giving experience to HEP. After
successful tenures with Michigan State, Virginia Tech and the
University of Toronto, Mike is currently the Vice
President for University Advancement for Eastern Washington University. In the
first years of overseeing varied annual giving programs, Mike has seen
substantial increases of dollars and donors based upon the majority of
infrastructure and marketing practices he shares with clients. Within
the telefund spectrum, Mike has served as a national telefund user group
chairperson. Efundraising experience includes multiple presentations, an
extensive Annual Giving website study/review and a Case Currents article
contribution. Mike is a constant speaker within CASE and regular
contributor to www.supportingadvancement.com. The experience above
coupled with Mike's attention to fundamental infrastructure practices
will provide the tools needed for continued success. |
